Anomalies'
composer and creator is Dan
Pinto.
Dan
is a multi-talented Pianist/Percussionist virtuoso that
has applied much of his technical prowess to the music
on this new CD. It's taken Dan 13 years to finally allow
himself the time, breaking away from film music in order
to feature his skills at writing Jazz-Rock Fusion again.
He brings eliments of his film music experience into
the Jazz-Rock Fusion format in very unique ways combining
it with well arranged orchestration. But even beyond
all this, he's invited a few friends along to
further enhance
his work... |

Featured on Tracks
4
and
8,
is electric guitarist, Ivan
Romero.
Ivan's personal guitar tastes in style lean towards
heavy Tech-Rock which is precisely why he fit so well
into the musical scheme of Anomalies.
Ivan's inspiration
to play guitar developed during the 1980s. As a
result he went straight to learning technique, licks and
songwriting
styles of the infamous genre of guitarists known
as "Shredders." He combines that with keen awareness
of touch and feel much like a blues player but yet,
the forward aggressiveness of a rock guitarist. Dynamics,
melody, song and structure are what Ivan feels
defines the music that he writes and plays. "Ivan
takes
great pride in knowing exactly what he's playing.
He has
a terrific ear for hearing subtleties that many other
player's
cannot. That together with his technical ability to
play
make him a devastatingly great guitar player and one
that
I am very proud to have perform on my music." Having
studied with "Favored
Nations"
guitarist, Rob
Balducci,
and a former member of Christian Rock Band "Just
Passing Thru,"
Ivan Romero can now be seen on "You
Tube" during
a studio session recorded recently. He
has only just begun to define his place amoung his peers
in music. Feel free to look him up as this is one guitarist
that you will undoubtedly be hearing much more
from in the future. |

Enabling
the music on this CD to show contrast, Dan decided
to include a selection highlighting vocals. Singer/Songwriter, "Rhonda
Schuster"
accepted Dan's invitation
to come up with a brilliant performance for Track
6.
"Ive
performed and recorded with many female vocalists
in the past but none Ive ever worked with compare
to the versatility that Rhonda shows. I was very
pleased
with the end result of our working together on my
Anomalies
release. She is a true professional."
Rhonda's background
as a singer/songwriter not limited to Rock, Folk,
R&B and Blues has earned her J-P
Folks award's "Best
Americana CD of the year"
in 2001, 2 nominatons for
"Best
R & B songs of the year"
in 2002, Winner of the
"Towne
Crier" Singer/Songwriter
competition
in 2003
and nominated in 2 categories, "Best
Vocalist" & "Best
Production"
at the 2005 New
Mexico Independant Music
Awards.
Rhonda's single, "We
Might Never Feel This
Way Again"
was recorded by "Phoebe
Snow"
on her
"Something
Real"
LP. The "Rhonda
Schuster Band"
can be heard performing live on a regular basis in the
East Coast tri-state area.

To incorporate yet another dimension into Anomalies,
Dan Pinto wanted to preserve a natural eliment of Jazz
for
this release and invited the multi-talented John
Asti to
perform on two selections. The contrast between the two
pieces shows just how talented John can be, switching
between Soprano Sax, Flute and Clarinet for what
was a modern Jazz feel on Track
3
to a truly unique
eliment using Alto Saxophone in a heavy Jazz-Rock
and Blues fusion piece on Track
8.
Born in Montclair, N.J., acquiring a BM in music
education,
John Asti's musical background has given him
great opportunity to play with some of the best names
in Jazz! He's performed live in concert with Manny
Album,
Phil
Woods,
Arnie
Lawrence,
Frank
Foster,
Jim
Pugh,
Lou
Soloff,
Hank
Jones,
Bill
Watrous, Bob
Mintzer,
Michael
Brecker,
Barry
Harris,
Charles
McPherson,
Pete
Christlieb
and Marvin
Stamn.
"I
was
extremely honored to have John perform on my material.
He's played with some of the best in the
business and
for good reason. I am very greatful for him having
offered
his knowledge and experience in Jazz which added so
much more to the Anomalies
project." John
Asti is always
performing. His touring experience in the past has
taken him on the road with "The
Glenn Miller Orchestra,"
"The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra," Broadway
shows
"CATS"
& "Jesus
Christ Superstar," "The Colorado
Symphony," "Steve Allen," "Steve & Edie Gormet,"
"Diane Carroll,"
& "Vic
Damone," "Mel Torme"
& "Rosemary
Clooney"
and "Nancy
Wilson"
& "Sarah
Vaughn."
John has performed Bernstein's
"Symphonic
Dances"
and "On
The Water Front."
And he's
been in National tours of "Damn
Yankees"
with "Jerry
Louis," "Hello
Dolly"
with "Carol
Channing" and
"Mame"
with "Juliet
Prowse." |
